Family History…
I come from an entertainment background due to my grandfather Edward Ellsworth Muhl. I share about his story because he’s a strong source of inspiration for me.
With that said, my Grandfather went on a job interview for Universal Pictures in 1927. When he got off the elevator he accidentally got off the wrong floor. On that floor, he was then mistaken for someone else and their job interview. The employer ended up hiring my Grandfather on the spot and the rest is history.
My Grandfather had no family support, he started at the very bottom, and with no experience at all, but through self teaching, endless hard work, and perseverance he continued to work his way up in the company. He had many different positions throughout the years and then in 1936 he finally made his way into production. Then in 1947 he became the head of Universal.
I’m beyond appreciative to my Grandfather for being a true example to our family by showing us through hard work, commitment, and courage dreams can be achieved. I decided to share publicly on the Doctors Show about my Grandfather for no other reason than being proud of his work and wanting to honor him.
